Joy to the Bones review

This is the 31st and final book in the nearly-30-years-running Sarah Booth Delaney mysteries by Carolyn Haines. After the last book, fans are gonna be desperate for answers, so I can guarantee you’ll get those answers in this book, what a wild ride but so worth it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Knowing this was the last book pretty far in advance had kinda helped take the edge off and did help with the enjoyment a lot more too. Although everything in this book was enjoyable especially the outcome of Sarah Booth finally learning the truth about her mom and dad’s deaths.

It was definitely bittersweet especially at the end, but the perp that was taken down and what happened afterward was sweet satisfaction. And the Christmasy ending was too much fun! Definitely read the author’s note at the end and her thoughts on ending this series. It might just make your eyes leak like mine did!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by St. Martin/Minotaur Books via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.
