Death by Chocolate Raspberry Scone review

This is the seventh book in the super fun Death by Chocolate Mysteries by Sarah Graves. To me, this one was the most excitement Jake and Ellie ever had. The books always start with some type adventure where they escape from being found out by the skin of their teeth. There were just a lot more times in this book, lol.

This has got to be Jake and Ellie’s most epic adventure ever! One word: shark. You can use your imagination or better yet, grab this book and read all about it. To me, this is the most exciting installment of this series. I absolutely enjoyed every single minute and couldn’t read fast enough in some places. It just played out like a non-stop adventure, comedy movie that was cozy mystery based. Kinda like Jaws if it was a comedy and not gory, lol.

And knowing it was such a twisting, turning plot with several characters caught in crime, I really appreciated the extensive explanation at the end over my fave thing of food, family, friends and fellowship. I enjoyed the addition of two new characters a lot too. New police chief Lizzie was an absolute hoot! I know she’ll be around for future books, but I hope her boyfriend stays too. They both went above and beyond protecting and serving, so I hope Dylan sticks around as well. Those two kinda complete each other, like Castle and Beckett (if Castle was a cop lol).

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by Kensington Cozies via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.
